Porsche Roadshow Review: New Boxster S / Cayman S / 911 DRIVEN! [VIDEO]

Happy 4th of July, everyone!

And thank you all SO MUCH for all of your support / encouragement on my BRZ Video Review. I've been inspired, and I've created some new Porsche video content.

Technically, my video is NOT a direct comparison versus the BRZ, but I do mention a comparison at the end and based on comments from the previous thread, I understand that there is a healthy Porsche fanbase over here so this should be interesting to some of you.

This one took almost as long as the last one to make, so I hope you enjoy it!

Sam

Nice job again, man. Your Vancouver roadshow event looks like it was a lot more comprehensive and fun than the roadshow events I've been to in the Bay Area for the past 2 years. They've both been pretty lame, unfortunately.

Loved watching the instructor's driving technique -- so smooth and calm.

I'm surprised they didn't require helmets.

Thanks orthojoe! I've heard that from some others as well, that the Roadshow varies quite a bit in scope and quality. Guess I lucked out on this one but you luck out everyday living in the Bay Area, my favorite place.

Ayau, yeah, I was too. Yes, the instructor was barely trying, just another day at the office!

The 2014 Cayman looks like a shrunken Panamera.

You're so wrong, it's hard to fathom. The new Cayman is among the more beautiful automotive specimens to come out recently and certainly an improvement over the previous generation.

I'm so right that it's hard for you to fathom. It's an ugly hunchbacked car now. Someone is sure as hell trying very hard to sound articulate. Do you drink tea with the pinky finger extended too?

I can't help but find some humor in this banter, but I'll have to agree w/ @OrbitalEllipses that the 2014 Cayman is one beautiful piece of machinery.

I don't try hard to articulate; nor do I argue on the internet. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

For some reason I see the Panamera around here quite a bit, probably almost every day I see 1. I think it actually looks really good, if I was a millionaire I'd definitely have one as my practical car and a 911 as my sports car. Then a 86 for when their in the shop,

It definitely looks better than all of the last gens. But there is something about the rear end that still makes me cringe a bit. Its like the front is really good looking on the 2014 but the rear is just ok or meh. It has to grow on you and I would never park it where I can see the rear of it when I walk off.

To me, the Cayman looks ok, but the 911 is drop-dead gorgeous, especially in GT3 trim.

LOL @ the discussion about the Cayman's looks. I actually felt the same way initially as Brzetto when I first saw the pictures. Like a shrunken Panamera. But in person, it gives a slightly different impression. Perhaps check it out in person? It really has presence and a lot of aggression.

rice_classic, the track was Mosport.

I think the 911 with the sportdesign kit is so gorgeous.
