Need to work on some basic math.

$4000 is what you PAID for this service. So this is not FREE.

On top of this, you financed the 4k so you are paying interest over the 5 years. At 5% that's another $500 that this service is going to cost.

So to break even, you need to use up $4500 worth of minor repairs.Considering that it is a hassle to use these services anyways, I don't see it happening.

I would have preferred to put the $4000 into a savings account and use the money to buy a NEW car sooner!

I didn't get anything. I've been fortunate to not have anything happen to my car.

But you need to explain to the rest of the nice readers that you live in a socialist republic with 13% sales tax. Most here would faint at the thought!

For reference point, that's right at what I paid with the pre-order in the spring with a cash purchase.

Certainly did not see me volunteering to give more money to the dealer.

$4000 on "just in case" protection? Las Vegas my friend...that place was built for you.

What is insurance for? That fixes dents. $4000 in your bank account also fixes small dents, and huge ones too. Seats ripping? Are they fixing it? How? $4000 goes a long way towards fixing stitching.

Rim(wheel) protection? Again, prepaid $4000 for what you will find on ebay for a fraction of that for a full set, let alone a single wheel. And there are places that repair minor and major wheel damage, again for a fraction of the $4000 you spent.

Get your money back on that garbage ASAP and just get the extended vehicle warranty that probably covers half of that extra stuff anyway at 1/3rd the price or less.

I paid a little shy of 30k, and have unlimited tires, wheel repair, all scheduled maintenance etc. Its a car I plan to keep and an extra 5k for piece of mind is not too much to pay. I don't mind paying to keep the things I own protected and covered.

not really! one dent usually goes for about $130.00 or so with dent wizard!

right! in my view,we should be chasing the (f.r.s.) and forget the extra goodies, because i don't feel the extras are worth it! cars are built on the same assembly line.they are a virtual "dead nuts" match for each other!
car's a good value at 25 large! 28 large? no! just sayin'
