Since this hasbeen revived, I'm on 2.5 years or so with the header, and it's still working. Very corroded, and I feel like I may have to replace it soon though.

Canada is where even fairy dust is made of salt

Still, this header IIRC was made from common for headers T304 stainless steel? So it's possible to see that with other headers too .. just in 2.5 years .. disappointingly a bit too soon. We here also get roadsalt in winter

Is it just discolored, or rust? If it's rust it might not be T304 or at least a low quality or thickness.

I think I know the difference between rust and discolouration. I don't think that discolouration would feel rough and dusty and crumbly on the surface.

Yes. My job revolves around the corrosion levels in various metallic structures. Fairly certain I know what's what.

Surface rust on mine with heavier rust near the flanges it's been on over 2 years, will probably get it ceramic coated or just buy another. At this price point it was worth it

I was going to say the same.

At that price it's 1/2 to 1/3 the price of many headers and works just as well from what I have read. It's just a throw-away header like Harbor Freight tools, lol.

I got it for even cheaper too than normal, at the time there was some memorial day or presidents day sale of some kind and got a lower price.
