I don't see that lasting when your leaders go by the names Carmelo Anthony and JR Smith...

All I know is its another night of basketball instead boring ol' baseball.

Anyway I agree with @Sportsguy83. I wonder how long the suppose sharing the ball will last for Knicks sake?

I like the Grizzlies to win it. Even if they face the Heat. The Heat won't be able to stop Gasol & Randolph, and the Grizzlies play great defense. I really thought the Grizzlies were throwing this season away when they traded Rudy Gay, but they have been a much better team without him.

Both the Heat and the Grizzlies have a top 5 defense. This is where we separate them, Miami is also in the top 5 for offense whereas the Grizzlies are actually in the bottom 5. The ONLY edge I give Memphis is in rebounding which could prove detrimental. Miami battled a roughneck Bulls team and if the get past the Pacers(I want to say 5 but 6 is more realistic) I really don't think anyone in the west can take them.

That all being said, they still have to get past the Spurs.

while i do think the heat will take it, there is a huge issue. memphis and indiana have answers to how the heat play but the heat dont have what it takes to stop any bigs. i just think miami might be too much of an offensive powerhouse for any sort of matchup issues to matter.

either way i want memphis to win. up until a week ago i must have been the only guy in socal to own a grizzlies jersey.

Indy and Memphis has bigs to create spacing issues for the Heat. ESPN Radio brought up a good point this morning... The Knicks shot the ball terribly. If you cant hit a jump shot the lane is going to close. Miami on the other hand, has 4 guys that hit 40% from 3pt and another 2 right below that alongside to of the worlds best drivers. Bosh's jump shot will bring Hibert out of the paint which is exactly what Miami wants.

This is the second consecutive series in which Frank Voegel opens his mouth to trash the Heat. I understand he isnt afraid or not to be confident but there are things you just say to stir the pot.

Hopefully Indy will realize this and actually switch defensive assignments on Bosh. Hibert would be best utilized to stay close/near the rim and keep a defensive presence in the paint.

And man the Grizz got it taken to them by the Spurs. Rarely do you see Randolph go that cold in a game.
Either of those teams would be okay with me to go to the Finals. Both have different strengths and weaknesses, but it looks like the Spurs are the most consistent team (crazy for their age). Hopefully one of them will be able to knock out the Heat though.

Sitting their best shot blocker was one of the worst coaching calls I've ever seen. Miami had no right winning that game.

The defense fell apart so easily. Its ridiculous that George overplayed Lebron and was having a great game till then. He should have let Lebron take his chances from the perimeter. As for West, dude didn't even think to cover the gap. C'mon man, who cares if Battier is the inbound passer the last shot is going to Lebron.
Time was on the Pacers side, but they collasped when they needed to be at their best. Taking out Hibbert was a good decision in my point view, but obviously he would been factor in hindsight and possibly change the outcome perhaps. Oh well off to game 2.
