I got my cogged pulleys installed I'm comparing to the other smooth pulleys. Am I supposed to lube them in some way? And what's the torque spec for the idler pulleys? Doesn't say in the manual.

Passed inspection with Visconti tune. Only not ready was o2. Delicious shows both o2 and evap not ready. Wouldn't pass on delicious tune. Will hopefully get that corrected.

this was my email from zach the other day

Do me a favor and email me sales@delicioustuning.com and cc bill wknose@delicioustuning.com . Include your delicious user id, dongle id, and of course email address. Simply explain that you have your catalytic converters, and would like evap turned back on We generally turn them off since most folks don't have cats, but reactivating yours won't be an issue.

Sincerely,

Zach

seems entirely relevant to your situation.

in my state having o2 turned off is a failure and sent to special state inspection station

The standard texas ODBII inspection we have every year. Cars after 2001 must pass with no more than one emissions not ready.

Gotcha, glad I had the visconti tune to fall back on. But now I've got 365 days to get a tune that turns evap back on lol. Thanks for the info.

Hmmmm, never had any OBD2 inspection for my 08 STi and my BRZ? Never seen them do that everytime I get them inspected every year. Most issues I only get is my tint.

Only Dallas, Austin, and Houston have to pass emissions testing in Texas. (Latest I know of at least) Luckily San Antonio is not on the list.

FYI I fried my stock cat by not waiting long enough for the Exhaust Cam to engage before going WOT, after flashing a new tune revision. This dumped fuel into the cat during the WOT pull as it ran extremely rich and incinerated it to pieces.

Everyone with a stock cat should be extra careful about this. You have to idle the car for 30 sec to 1 min after flashing a new tune. An easy way to tell if the exhaust cam is active before you do any WOT pulls is to make sure you are logging exhaust cam postion #1. When you free rev the motor you should see the values changing (ex. it will go from 0.1 to 30 when you blip the gas).

Oh, catless all the way. Hope this won't happen to us any time soon. Makes me wonder if catless but E85 will pass a not to conservative emission test.

Fort Worth is in there too (basically all the large metro areas in Texas)

It might, but as OBD2 cars aren't actually tested for emissions, only through the OBD2 port, it doesn't really matter.

Yep. I remember when I was street tuning with @Visconti and we were flashing like crazy he always had me wait to make pulls till he verified the cams were working properly.

Just in case you hadn't gotten any assistance or weren't able to find it within the instructions: Those M10 bolts require 38 ft. lbs of torque.
