I just setup Torque Pro on my Nexus 7. I wasn't going to attempt to add Oil Temp as a layout gauge, but then I noticed that it was reporting data in the selection menu. I placed it on the layout and it seems to be giving me a steady stream of oil temp data. It was rading around 195-215 in flowing traffic, didn't spend too much time watching it, but it seemed to be working.

I did on google search in this thread to no avail.
I will be installing a Delicious Tuning flex fuel kit soonish. Can someone tell me if I can activate the ethanol % field in Torque?

highly unlikely ethanol % will work with torque.

my understanding is torque app requests predifined factory pid's, ie the factory ecu will respond to these predefined requests. These are standardized across manufacturers hence torque or other apps can request this standard information from many factory ecu's.

Ecutek flex fuel is a hack or patch on the standard ecu code, its unlikely that ecutek would also patch the ecu obd request routines so the ethanol content was readable via obd requests and hence torque apps. Ecutek hijacks the rear 02 sensor or evap purge connection to the ecu for flex fuel sensor input.

If they did that they would not need to sell you the ethanol readout display kit or bluetooth device to send ethanol readout to your phone/tablet ect :-)

I think the contrary : If you have the PID for the rear 02 sensor or evap purge you can easily convert it's voltage reading to an ethanol % (0-5V = 0-100%)

yes you probably could

although it may not work as ecutek likely disable the normal functioning of these sensor inputs as they would not want the ecu seeing the ethanol sensor inputs as rear 02 or evap purge readings.

but i thought he was referring to the pre designated e% pid in torque app ?

Do I get points for answering my own question?
Delicious Tuning have an Android app for reading ethanol content. Sure, I would have preferred reading the percentage in Torque but this app runs an exceptionally close 2nd.

I wanted to add shift lights to my Torque Pro display, so I downloaded this RacingMeter plugin, however I can't seem to display the Oil Temp using their customizable display.

Has anyone used this?

Disable / Enable seatbelt beep

Hi everybody,
I found something that should be useful to those hating the seatbelt beep (just the beep, if you hate the seatbelt it's another problem and it's in the head, not in the car )

First of all, proceed at your own risk, I've tested these PIDs on my car (BRZ 2014) but i'm not responsible if you do something wrong or if your car is somewhat different than mine,

To check the current settings add this PID (this should be completely safe as you are just reading):
OBD2 Mode and PID: 21A7
Minimum Value: 0
Maximum Value: 0
Scale factor: x1
Unit type:
Equation: A
OBD Header: 7C0

double check everything and press the TEST button

If the response value is 61A7C0 seatbelt beep is on
If the response value is 61A700 seatbelt beep is off
If the response is different something is wrong, check again PID's configuration and retry

If for some reason your response is different from what expected stop here before messing with your car

If everything is ok add these PIDs

To disable the beep:
OBD2 Mode and PID: 3BA700
Minimum Value: 0
Maximum Value: 0
Scale factor: x1
Unit type:
Equation: A
OBD Header: 7C0

To enable the beep:
OBD2 Mode and PID: 3BA7C0
Minimum Value: 0
Maximum Value: 0
Scale factor: x1
Unit type:
Equation: A
OBD Header: 7C0

Usage is the same, go to the edit page of the PID with the setting you want to write and press TEST

DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING before writing value to ECU, i'm not responsible if something stop working as expected (even if you wrote the right values)

Final warning: don't add these pids as instrument, they aren't meant to be

I will shoooot myself soon if I dont get this oil temperature PID working on torque pro!

I tried many ways about this but still didnt get it!

OBD2 Mode and PID: 2101
Minimum Value: -40
Maximum Value: 215 (this is just the maximum that this location can support, which does not mean the sensor can read that high)
Scale factor: x1
Unit type: C
Equation: AC-40 (no space between A and C; "AC" is the location within the response)
OBD Header: 7E0 (Auto also works, but seems to take longer)

Says only no data!

I have 2012 GT86 and I tried that default oil temperature too but that not working either. Adapter is ELM 327, Phone galaxy S4 4G+

If I setup the oil temperature PID from PID management do I have to add new gauge from real time information to get it viewing or does it appear itself there?

I will try to uninstall it and install it again and see if it starts to work!
