My only issue is that WRB just isn't a classic enough color to do something classic. I think the first WRX with WRB was in the mid 90's in Japan based off the first real Subaru rally car, the Legacy RS!

Nice look! I know the thread is about 15s but I still need to ask, are those 15s? The reason I ask is because I thought I read in another thread that 15s would not clear the brakes.

Weren't there veeery few but 15" that cleared our brakes? Wheel directory lists only one (VW AVUS 15x6.0 +38) that fits, and two 15x6.5 that didn't, but still, shows that it's possible, if wheel is designed right way. After all, we have many parts from subaru partsbin, and rallyish 15" on WRX shouldn't be rarity?

It's a moot issue because Rota has discontinued these wheels. I was on the verge of getting one of the last sets made from WheelDude, but the 19pound weight plus the unavailability of replacements made the whole deal a little less appealing than I wanted. Plus, +42 with a 9" wheel is cutting it a little close unless you have coilovers, especially if you want a little camber. I absolutely LOVE the look though. |
