It's always nice to see JZD mentioned outside of the sting case. If you're curious at all about the DeLorean saga, check out John Z, the DeLorean and Me by Barrie Wills, and The DeLorean Story by Nick Sutton, both men were execs as DMC. Barrie was the first guy brought on board. Also, Stainless Steel Illusion by John Lamm is a great look at the company.

John's ego and unwillingness to forego a lavish lifestyle while building a fledgling car brand was his main downfall, along with other myriad factors leading up to the arrest.

Truly a story of being so close to making it, but the coke sting turned it all to dust.

Or it was some guy driving his modded car around the track. They do realize people mod cars right?

Carscoops is one of the very worst of the sites for making shit up based on the smallest thing.
I can see in a couple of pictures that the plates are red. These are used usually on unregistered test cars or on vintage cars. However, these spy pictures are not new. They are from last year.

Have read the DeLorean Story. It was informative. Although his formal reason for leaving GM was to start his own company it was really his lifestyle since they were (are?) a very conservative company and were going to ditch him soon anyway.

One of the aerodynamic changes has been used already in the MY19 model. So, I don't really think that the displayed car is a new model. Probably, a test of different ideas on the track.

The pixels are red but they all have the blue on the left. Do the red ones still use that blue? Even if a test car it does not mean it a Subaru doing the testing.

LHD The one pic has a grey BRZ behind it with a regular plate. I really doubt they bring cars from Japan to Germany to test minor aero changes. Maybe a ZF or Sachs test car?

I am just going to write the whole thing off as Carscoops yet again making something out of nothing.

Here is a picture without pixels on the sign.

It is not mandatory to import a car from Japan. If they want to check a few (aero) parts, they can just install them on an European car.

Thanks.
I get that but why bother testing small aero there when they have their own tracks? It still does not mean it was Subaru doing the testing is all I am saying.

Yes it is not necessary that it was Subaru.
