Not to be a **** but I'd rather save up and shell out more dough for ft86speedfactory stuff and know it's quality and that the vendor is very supportive than to save a couple hundred bucks and kick myself in the ass over crappy quality. Unfortunately tho I just can't resist not having a wing anymore lol so I think I'm going to wait on these headers and get a big ass wing. Yea I know rice rice baby but it's my car!

So what should those of us do, if we want a HFC (for sound) and want a supercharger later? Just get a strate pipe or leave the stock header? What about a HFC front pipe?

Sorry for the question.

A high flow cat in the secondary location would most likely be fine. I would say either keep your stock header to swap back too (if you want to still pass smog?) or get a catless header after going SC.

How durable are stock NA primary cats when putting on FI? Have you seen stock cats on other applications melt/grenade when adding FI?

I had been planning on getting the Rage Package #1 and as nice as these headers are...the uncatted Borlas were more tempting to me.

I'll be curious to see the numbers. I feel your pain with the snow; out here in CO my FR-S has just been sitting pretty in the garage the past week
Rage packages as they are will not be changing.

This will also go on the silver track dedicated car we have and be tested.

A few Vortech cars with stock header out there being tracked. Tune is going to play a big part in that as well.

We have never seen factory cats blow out on our superchargers.

But then that nice doggie will lift his leg against your car instead of riding in it.

Can the heat shield be installed back on with this header? The heat shield is also a good splash shield and keeps the engine bay clean so it would be nice if it fits like oem.

I was thinking of going JDL until I saw this thread. I think if this header is priced around the same price as the JDL, I am going with JDL. I hope it's going to be cheaper.

Heat shields can not go back on. Size and mounting points are way off.

The bottom aluminum shield though goes back on no problem like stock.

I think he meant that one. So if one would look under the car it would look the same as stock ?
