Yes the alteenator is controlled by engine ECU, but i believe what @tomm.brz is sating is the tables which controll the alternator are not defined ie unknown and so have not been chamged by the openflash guys in tune. Im not sure of the exact logic but it appears that the alternatpr may cut off durring full throttle if battery is fully charged or current draw from battery is low ie headlights not on. Also air conditioning is also controoled by ecu under full throttle in some circumstances. Whwn tuned the logic may have changed slightly if your not a 2017 euro car as all oft tunes are actually based on euro roms not usa roms even though they may be labeled same calid. Its possible the euro roms control the alternator differently but i do not know for sure |

A quick question, I'm currently running v4.03 for my 2017 BRZ MT, but the car jerks a lot at lower rpm so I tuned it back to stock today. Would it be possible to run v2 tune for MY17/is there a tune for MY17? I downloaded and looked into each tunes, but nothing seem to match my CAL. |

you could always open in romraider the v4 for your car, and open also a v2 and copypaste the tables that are different from the v2 to v4

Is it possible to get the loud cold start back on the v4 tunes? Specifically the stage 2 plus tune.

you should find it multiple times..
anyway raise the first 2 rows of maf enrichment after starting (2 identical tables) set ignition timing after start to -15 (the more negative the louder, euro cars now have -19 as default) raise a bit idle speed if you want |

I have 2016 and had been running v4.01 Stage 1 for about 9 months.
Just switched back to v2.076 and think I prefer it. Feels like it pulls harder in the upper Rev-range and most importantly I'm no longer hearing the "engine chatter" crossing 4K RPMs that I was with v4.01. |
