Clicking the link to carbuzzard brings up a dead end page. So the journalist already shaky source is dead. I take this article with a grain of salt.

I don't worry about servicing a car made of Toyota-Subaru parts.

I worry about the kick in the junk at resale time because it has an orphan badge on it. Cars are objects of status and perceived value, and the car buying public has a very short memory.
