So how do I know if I should get my knuckles checked for a fracture? I'm wondering if its serious enough cause I don't want anything messed up down the line.

Should get it checked for a fracture when you have it super inflamed and almost a greenish-brown-purply bruise (more brownish green than purple).

At any point if you notice a liquidy swelling. You need to go see a doctor asap.

I appreciate the helpful advise.

It doesn't sound like I need to, but since southpaw is my preferred stance I'll need to lay off throwing punches or fights for a while. I think mostly the metacarpus (if that sounds correct) in my right hand is going to get all screwy if I don't cut it out. I generally use upper hook punches too much and I'm not sure if I'll be making my hand worse is all. As of now I haven't seen my hand this swollen for a long time and its not really that bruised up so I should be okay.

Meh. I broke two knuckles and the bone between my wrist & ring finger one time. It swelled up really bad, atleast double the normal thickness of my hand. I went to the hospital to get it looked at, they put a cast on for me. I ripped the cast off a few days later to play basket ball. That was 17 years ago, nothing wrong so far.

Bones in the hand are generally well supported so they don't really need to be splinted. Just make sure the bones are lined up right and you still have full range of motion. Doing traction on yourself is a lot easier than you'd think, though I've only done it within minutes of the break. You can feel when you have it right, if it's required.

Just make sure there isn't any swelling, redness, GREAT amounts of pain/burning sensation, or streaking... all signs of infection.

Correction my friend, it's GM8. GC chassis code is sedan & GM is coupe.

Anyways, a while I was grocery shopping, I met ex-gf's parent. Father tells me, he bought Camaro SS & he let me test drive around (he still likes me, cuz I'm car-holic). I gotta say, I wasn't really impressed. Maybe cuz of weight? Tq felt great... but that was pretty much it, nothing to go gaga about. Of course, I didn't tell him that... but if that thing lost 500~750lbs w a bit more stiffer suspension it would of been nice.
