now i have a question. im still technically overboosting. so i have the same issue. can i tune around it if lets say it holds around 8psi solid?

I don’t know if this is possible, but it could be if the inlet and outlet flanges are the same size; do you have the wastegate on backwards?

You are asking that if you can find a spring combo that holds 8psi, should you, even if that is not what the spring/s are rated for? If I were you, I would want to resolve the issue. Maybe replace the wastegate with a friend’s wastegate to eliminate that as a possibility. It just doesn’t seem safe.

You could so long as the tune is solid and done for that boost pressure. Just need to raise the boost cut level.

yeah id have to make sure the boost is constant, not too much as id like. to stay at 8psi. and the tune is good.

i was doing some research about the wg opening above the spring rating and someone mentioned backpressure. i have a trd catback which according to some. its got some 2.25 bends and its not the greatest for performance. could that harm the wg opening accuracy?

I still expect this threat to be about jerking off while flooring the car. I mean, am I the only one?

heres a wot log. car is still overboosting a lot. not hitting fuel cut but im still scared of those numbers. specially with the low rate springs. imma put a softer spring today and check at what psi it opens.

take a look

The doc I have to hand puts the offsets very close (0.03/0.031). However, if I have this right, the tune for the 3 Bar map would give lower readings if running a 4 Bar sensor. You would need to be running a 3 Bar sensor on a 4 Bar map to give high readings. Either this is your problem (or the multiplier has been input wrong by accident to cause the same issue) or you're overboosting. The latter should really be ruled out by changing to a lower pressure spring, which you've done.

I assume no analogue gauge to compare it to?
thats with the engine idling. and i think ifs 1bar when car is off
