Received mine after a week long wait, and it was missing the instructions, bushing and 2-piece boot cover. I really wanted to install it this weekend, too.

Sent them a message via their website.

EDIT: No response to my message via their website, will try calling them.

EDIT: Awesome, I tried calling at around 5:30PM EST and wanted to talk to a representative but apparently their weborder associates had already gone for the day and that they couldn't help me. The hours posted on the site are from 7:30AM - 7:30PM M-F.

I finally received the bushing and boot cover and installed it yesterday along with the Whiteline crossmember inserts.

I recently installed MTEC shift springs and the Positive Shift Kit from Whiteline and the addition of the TRD Quickshifter makes gear selection and engagement an absolute dream.

My bolt came loose today, tightened it up. But I'm sure it will happen again. Any fixes?

I actually had the PDF from the thread and that's what I used to inventory what I received and to find out what was missing.

Thanks for posting it, though. It will help future TRD quickshifter owners that don't want to page through the thread.

I just installed mine... It took me a helluva lot more than the 30 mins some of you guys managed!
I think I spent a total 4 hours getting everything done and cleaned up (of course, I probably spent close to an hour pulling out my gear, jacking up the car, and then lowering the car and cleaning up after I finished - condo garages/lockers ftw).

That being said, it isn't that difficult from a technical perspective - the problem is I did this on jack stands, so had damn near no leverage (laid on a couple pieces of cardboard as my creeper wasn't low profile enough). Word of advice: winter is a terrible time to do this (I have lots of road salt and slush/grime on me)

For those who plan to return to stock (so you don't want to rip the boot cover)
The stock boot was tough to remove, but I managed it. I think the trick is to start by pulling out the driver side (where the retaining clip is) - once that's done, the other side is a breeze. I also used a heat gun to zap the boot and soften the rubber (hopefully making it more flexible and less tear-prone).

Did anyone else notice that the gear indicator no longer works except for reverse?
I guess the quick shifter isn't compatible with that feature (though it's no biggie)

I realized that once I actually started driving.
I had been testing it with the ignition in the ON position, but without actually starting the engine.
Once the engine is actually started, it works fine.

Incidentally, you really don't need a 7mm hex ball socket - I used a 9/32 SAE hex socket and it worked fine with a 3/8in torque wrench (albeit with a little bit of angle).
Which is great, because apparently nobody carries size 7mm hex sockets of any kind here (I couldn't find it at Home Depot, Lowes or Rona - all out of stock or not available).

EDIT: I should clarify - I used one of the small sockets from my ratchet set, in conjunction with one of the hex bits (designed for the multi-bit screw drivers).

For anybody interested in the mechanics of the system before they buy or install it, here's a copy of the installation instructions from TRD.

I just ordered this kit. Very excited for shorter shifts.
Should I have ordered Mtec springs too?

You don't need too, but you are already under the car.

I wonder what this feels like with the kartboy added as well...

Would anyone know what would happen or what the effect would be, if the rear mount assembly bracket (Item 2) was not installed or used and the OEM piece left installed?

The rest of the kit installed as per instructions.
