Dude, you do know that, I'm not using FRS/BRZ to race right? I gonna keep that as DD car for a while & keep Imp as track car.

Okay, my advice remains the same. Replace the clutch when it goes. You'll have to drop the trans or pull the engine to do it so consider the rest of your mods then. For now save monies!

Maybe take the parts money for now, put a down payment on the FRZ. Save up a bit of cash and spend time working on the impreza with no stress of needing a car for daily travel / occasional fun until fun car is back up and going?

Granted...then there's insurance for two cars and such.

You do know that, to replace water pump & replace timing belt, gotta pull the engine out right?

Entirely possible without removing the engine.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1794043 <--That's a turbo GD, but note how the engine stays in the car.

You expect me to do this in smaller engine bay GM/GC chassis?

I'll keep that in mind...

That tore down the apron of the drive way.

Of course they tell us the day they are going to do that, they send out the letter the morning of destruction around 8am, after i was gone for work.

Poor FRS...stuck there for a week and a half.

And of course my car is the only one stuck out of all the houses...

So I'm hitting the 1/8th mile track tomorrow, and I'm really hoping that I'm proven correct. I think my 86 is faster than my WRX was. Which means that I should be pulling 8.9ish. That's my goal for tomorrow.
