It will be my semi-daily driver when the weather isn't ideal for riding. Also I plan on taking it to meets and doing mostly cosmetic mods.

my goal is to make it a full blown race car but that never usually happens. So a dd/autox/track will suit me.

I selected other.

To me this will be a project / toy. I'm fortunate in that I live fairly close to work so a single 25min bus ride each way covers my work transport needs.

Once I do finally pull the trigger (after sorting finances) I want to have a car that I can enjoy driving on weekends. Get involved in the local car club scene and do some advanced driving courses, which may lead to the occasional track day.

Its the sort of car I'd likely do no more than 5,000km a year on and keep for 10 years. Much like my last GTO / Monaro.

This is very similar to my approach to the car, but I selected overall performance. I like to think I'll put less than 1,000 miles per year on it, but we'll see how that goes once I start walking past it every morning to get in my other car.

Show car for now as I baby it as my DD.
Couple years down the road when warranty is over, I'll begin modding it into a drift/auto x set up.
When this car starts getting really old and things start to break, full blown race car!

Don't have any intentions of leaving this car.

My plan right now for the 86 is for it to be a daily driver. I'm gonna add intake and exhaust, wheels and suspension and call it a day.

My goal is 225 at the crank and 20kg lighter.

After that I'll wait until the warranty runs out and see what's available. If there's a new version out I might trade in or do an engine swap if it's a more powerful unit.

Otherwise I plan on keeping this car in my garage in some form or another for a long long time.

Cars are only going to get heavier, more complicated with computers and assisted steering and no manual gearboxes in the future.

It'll be nice to have a relatively inexpensive manual lightweight pocket rocket sportscar to play around in.

This is true. I was really relieved when I found out this car would be coming with a manual. Kind of sad that that's something to have to worry about.
