Wish I could say the same. My hood looks like crap. It's starting to not pass the 30 foot test.

I may be giving the car a rest soon. I am considering getting a veloster N. I lobe my BRZ but I am also 6'6" tall so im pretty much at the max height to drive the car. So i am looking at other fun cars that have more leg room

Luckily my hood is wrapped, so it has a little bit of protection there lol.

I hand washed mine fir the first time this season on Sunday. At this point what is left of the orange is a matt finish. about 5% of the bumper is now black plastic.

I do as well. It prevented stone chips but the tattered edges of the larger impacts are like little banners flapping in the wind now. Of course many missed it completely and the rest of the hood looks like crap.

I am hoping this one outlasts my previous car. I had a 2005 Scion TC supercharged and that made it to 265,000. I think that car would have lasted longer if i didn't supercharge it around the 120,000 mile mark.

I'm with you. I think I was burning myself out reading the recall threads and thinking there might be no way I can stick with my original plan of keeping this car forever (or ya know at least 20+ years). This gives me a little hope that not every FA20 will die a premature death.

These recall fail horror stories were stressing me the hell out. I had to stop reading them. My car has made it this far, so im trying not to worry about it anymore

There goes that lame-in-the-first-place theory of mine... hehehehe.

'Tis the way of the internet. You hear all the bad and nobody speaks about the good. This is amplified even more on a forum with a pretty narrow demographic. The old days were sometimes much better since you could live in blissful ignorance of a problem that others had and never worry about it unless it actually happened to you.
