Apparently heard that a Ultramarine FRS crashed into a bmw and guardrail around the 401 & 404 I believe.

Is that anyone on here?

I hope that's not gonna affect the insurance premium for the rest of us.

OH no I wonder if the driver is on this forum. Even if they are they might want to be low key about it. The main thing is that nobody is injured.

FRSers should have bought a BRZ lol.

More seriously - the actuarial science statistical logic used to determine rates requires that much more than one solitary accident occur for a mass-produced vehicle in order to change that vehicle's insurance rates - but if a trend develops, that's a whole different story. Initial FRS/BRZ rates were no doubt set by looking at similar vehicle types with relatively high rates anyways, such as the Genesis coupe turbo, Civic si, etc, so some anticipation of the types of accidents more common with "sporty" cars typically driven by more aggressive drivers will have been built into the rate structure already.

Its interesting how I commented, "I hope the driver wasn't injured", wheras others reaction is "I hope our insurance rates don't rise."

Some things you just cant control so why worry.
But, you can still have compassion for a fellow human being.

I'll get off the soapbox now.

You don't know any of the details of the accident, so it most certainly will not (even if it was the FR-S drivers fault, it's one accident...rates aren't going to fly off the charts because of it).

This is something you CAN control. ie, don't drink and drive, don't drive on the opposite side of the road, don't drive like a retard etc etc. I usually DO show compassion, although i'm not saying that this FRS driver was definitely at fault, but IF he was driving on the opposite side of the road, then that's means it's either he's drunk or just retarded. In either case, i hope those people get off our public road.

there is only so much compassion to go around

man jumps off the balcony and nails some kid on the ground, who do you have compassion for?

is compassion justified for irrational or narsasistic behavior?

do you have compassion for Lindsey Lohan?

I get your point. I'd still boink her (with protection) if I wasn't married.

My point is lost here. Most people react about the condition of the car when a more appropriate response is to show concern for the occupants before the vehicle. That's the way I was raised anyway.

I dont know the cause of the alleged accident, only that it occured.

7th gear, Im not sure why but you always seem to come across as someone who thinks everybody else is an idiot. The cynicism can get tiring after a while.

i'm not sure why either but you're absolutely right

most of the time society has let me down in one way or another so for whatever reason i've just stopped caring and treat everyone with the minimum level or respect needed to get by.

the individuals that impress me get bonus points but those are few and far apart. I would rather assume you're an idiot and be proven wrong then apologize than assume you're a sane, reliable, competent and trustworthy person only to be proven wrong and end up in a serious shit storm.

but george carlin said it best

Definitely a huge Carlin fan.

I deal with scum sucking douchebags all the time but at the end of the day I go home to my family and they are still douchebags.

Such is life.
