Burnt tip was the ONLY option for GRIP. DTS had both Polished and burnt. If there was a polished GRiP, I would have been the first to know. I think all GRiP customers got burnt.

That was my understanding when I looked at this exhaust as well. Lack of polished tips was kind of a turn off to me at the time. The GRiP and the SRT are about similar in sound, drone, and price.

In the end, for this particular pre-order, that may TRULY have been the case, but Modbargins wasn't aware of that fact based on what they are telling me. Polished tips ARE an option to order, just not through that pre-sale apparently. Thus my dilemma, do I keep the burnt tips or do I sell the burnt tip exhaust and pre-order a polished system for once they receive them in a month (according to Lerry at ARK). I am not sure if I like the burnt tip enough since polished is classy/classic but you see polished everywhere, whereas burnt tips are maybe a bit more sporty but may be "ricey" or just different enough that I would like them better... Ah, dilemma's dilemma's...

Yes, those are tc1 wheels. I bored them out to fit. 17x7+45 I believe. Almost flush

personally i would keep it but that's me. i get comments on the exhaust tips all day and they all tent to tell me its not over kill and looks and sounds great with the car. i was a little shocked on how many positive comments were given to me about the system. if your are going to sale it i would say hell put it on and dont start the car just to see how you feel after.

Thanks! I was too. I had them from my last car (big surprise.... a tc. LOL). I powder coated them gunmetal. They have a similar weight to the fbr86zs stockers (20.x lbs, IIRC) and fit more flush. They were my autox wheels. I have a set of 225/45/17 rs-3s for it still (shoulda gotten 225/40), and right now they are wrapped in bridgestone re-92s .....only the best I had them laying around and didn't care an awful lot, so I bored them out...and if it worked, it worked. If not, no biggie. Turned out better than I thought. I have side shots but I want to keep this on topic.

EDIT: by side, I mean from front/rear to see the fitment

Workin on it.... slowly, though. I have an in cabin cold start up, but in the video, it seems quieter than it really is. Don't know if you'd want to see that or not.

I also get compliments about it too. Always turns heads, especially on cold start up. My neighbors hate me now. lol. Favorite comments are "sounds sweet," and "music to my ears."

I think I have decided to keep my exhaust since from what i have read, if I truly don't like the burnt tips I should be able to polish them off at a later date. =) I will record some videos and post pictures once I get it installed this weekend if others don't beat me to it. I am still in the break-in period though, so none of my video's would be over 4K RPM's...
