That's a Helmholtz resonator, or in NASIOC parlance, a snorkus. Basically it uses echos to cancel out noise in certain frequencies, usually frequencies that cause resonances in the cabin. |

Thanks for the pics and new info. Translation would be we great as well when someone gets a chance. This car is going to be awesome. Now I wonder in another article a subaru engineer said there was more power to get from the engine. I was thinking Subaru may do a turbo down the road but now I think it was possibly the ECU they where talking about.

That's the radiator cap on the left isn't it? Maybe it's down low and further forward like you suggested. I'm also wondering on what looks like two intakes...

While we are waiting for a translation, I have a very dumb question, at least it will be considered dumb by most in this forum.
Assuming the ECU is completely tunable, what would be an average cost to have that done and what would be a typical HP gain? I have never had a car tuned. Thanks |

Hmm, this is the second publication that says the AT is based on the IS-F's 8 speed. granted both publications were at the same test, but this leads me to believe that they got their info from toyota/subaru and not from their ass...

Well I'm not sure if we've heard or not, but assuming its Drive-by-Wire, it'll probably be flash based, like the 06+Sis, 06+ s2000s. So you'll need the unit that you can flash with, should be around ($500-600) a a tune shouldn't run more than $400 for the full tune
