2016 brz no title parts car.

I’ve had this car for 2 years. I was searching for a high mileage car to turn into a track only car. Found this guy selling his brz. He was moving back home from the United States and selling this cheap.

It does have a lein on it through capital one. This would a parts/track only car.
It does have 6k miles on it. Everything works and it is a complete car.

I assume the lein is in the previous owners name? If so you are trying to sell property that you don't even own.. this is as good as buying a stolen car. Sorry, but it's true.

How much is the lien? I mean you might get away with not paying it if it never gets registered but if it's a small amount then it might be worth it just to not worry about it.

Neither the lein nor title are in his name. It'lkl be hard to explain how he even has the car without a lot of documentation and if someone wanted to register it they'd need a title from the seller, otherwise he's skip titling which is also illegal. While I don't think he stole the car, he might as well have since the car can't be titled without a lot of hassle.

This was his explanation in a previous thread: "I will update with a picture tomorrow. Picked up car and later found out it had a lien more than what I was told. The guy has gone ghost. I’ve had it For 3 years in my yard."

No pic was ever provided either.

that's about $7,250 more than i'm willing to deal with the hassle for.

I felt iffy posting this on here. I’ll probably still keep it as a track car.

I’ve also never titled any track car or track bike.

But I got stuck with a car. Just gonna keep it. Called capital one finance and they won’t tell me what’s left on the lein also
