NEED HELP WITH MANUAL SWAP ASAP!

Ok so I’m manual swapping my car. A couple questions, for the vacuum pump can I leave it there and cap the vacuum hole off instead of buying a cam plate?

Also trans fluid. I know a lot of people use motul 75w-90 300 gear oil but an off the shelf one like Valvoline SynPower 75W-90 Full Synthetic Gear Oil good as well? It’s rated for both GL4 and GL5 like the motul. Is this valid?

Update: does anyone know the thread size for the abs brake line fittings?

I'd personally block off the cam plate. The factory one is just a cheap stamped piece.

Yeah, you can use an off the shelf stuff, can't be any worse than the factory fill. I actually don't like the Motul anyway and run Redline which is readily available most box stores.

While I'd also simplify, technically, there isn't anything wrong with just plugging the pump intake. Definitely don't leave it unplugged.

Manual Swap ECU need help ASAP

I’m damn near done with my manual swap. The question I have is do I have to reset the ECU if I’m using the same wiring harness’ it came with? So when I plug everything back will it just turn on and start?

ECU/ECM came out the same car as the wiring harness 2013’ and the trans same year 2013’ but different car. Would I need to reset? And if so do I have to tune it? Or does the reset make it so the transmission and ECU are synced together. If not do I use my OFT and tune and if so what tune and link for said tune?

Thank you!

coulda just kept it all in the one thread.

I mean you have THREE threads with the exact same topic, from the same author, with the same car about the same swap.........just at different stages of said swap.

So am I just smart? I have never posted more than one thread on the same thing on purpose in my life.
Or is it more like I think it is. You have to be a moron to think that this kind of shit is ok?

It's the latter, 100%. Not moron, just self-centered. The same that writes "ASAP" as in "I'm more important. Help me now."

I look at thanks stats. People who don't thank, AND start concurrent threads, well... it tells a story.

Lol well I was being a bit facetious with my original comment but lots of people have tunnel vision with their life

$5 says he makes another thread. That'll make it an even 4.
