Well, I'm glad I haven't ordered a foam gun yet. I decided to take apart the Gloria foamy clean foamer and was able to fix the problem. It was simply the rubber O-ring that lets the pressure build up. It bent over on the plunger, so I simply put it back into place and it works again! Yaaassssss! lol

Heard slamming noises outside, didn't think much of it because usually it's just people throwing stuff into the trash.
Kept hearing it, looked out my kitchen window. Downstairs hag neighbor was watching her grandchildren or whoever they are, they were playing soccer on the gravelly parking lot with a real soccer ball. Right as I looked outside, one of them kicked it at my car and it hit the side quite squarely. Ran outside, loudly told the downstairs old lady they needed to stop because they hit my car, she said "no they didn't" and I said I saw them do it from the window. Threatened to call the apartment manager. They stopped, I went back in and called my manager, who told me to check out my car. So I went back outside and found at least two spots where the ball had hit, at least one has a potential scratch. All my manager said was "try using a rag to wipe it off and I'll call the neighbor tomorrow to let them know they shouldn't be playing back there." Need a new apartment asap. |

Sorry to hear about that, Josh. Take a pic of the one that may be scratched? We might be able to tell you if it can be polished out.

I'll have to wait until tomorrow when there's better light. The one possible scratch I was able to wipe away some dirt, so it's less noticeable, but I'm still pretty worried about it.

I'm thinking it'll be able to be polished out. I think a scratch that's bad enough to require paint would mean that the car would have been dented.

I wouldn't say that. Even tho my Yaris has dents and is designated as my "beater" car, I still don't want someone adding dents or scratches to it.

I try to be real zen about it since it seems like I get a new ding in a parking lot when I walk back to my car once a month. Being pissed off is kind of pointless when I don't even know who did it.

At least with a door ding (God forbid..) in most cases people just aren't careful and fling their door open. This was honestly preventable. Kids shouldn't have been playing back there at all in the first place (it's a super small lot with gravel, not like a large lot with plenty of space and nothing to screw with). Yeah it's definitely not that serious. I definitely didn't see anything deep. But just the idea of gravel and dirt on the ball getting hurled into the car hurts. |
