We get La Croix at work but it's so hard to enjoy. I hate that the "flavor" of it is only like a teeeeeeny bit, maybe 5% of the flavor. It tastes so diluted that my taste buds feel off when I drink it.

But, if I have to drink it Mango and Apricot are the best flavors.

Yup, that's why I chose the 3:30pm to 1:30am shift. I dealt with traffic for far too long. lol.

I still maintain that modified cars are less problematic than OEM's creating their own headlight war.
Experienced an OEM that got to me on my way home earlier. A new GMC Sierra.

So you hang out at work 2 to 3 hours after your shift ends???

I'm not sure that "credit" is the right word to use for you showing me things that I can now never un-see.

At this point I'll make my own damn snes classic out of a raspberry pi. Nintendo wtf make more.

God my feelings for Nintendo are so hot/cold, but I can see the value in it, you can create some good memories with that thing and some friends or just playing a classic you've missed. The one game I would totally love to play is Kirby's Dream Course, if you have someone you can be competitive with and play vs. each other you'll have a blast. And I still haven't played Earthbound or Mario RPG which are both highly regarded.

I'm just glad I didn't buy either on the WiiU, might buy them for the Switch unless I get into playing ROM's with the girl. I really wanna play Chrono Trigger with her, she wants to play Kingdom Hearts, I don't know how much longer we'll last...

People who want what he's selling, I know it's mind boggling that there are literally tens of millions of people who eat the current GOP's rhetoric right up.

The only thing that excites me about politics is that Feinstein is going to be out soon. I try not to pay too much attention though.

When I drive has little to do with my work schedule (which is currently very flexible, no shifts for my department, just regular business hours we need to be available during), the long drive I used to do was for weekend enjoyment (long distance relationship).

Engineer, desk job.
Get shit done on time, attend necessary meetings, be available 9am-2pm iirc, do whatever else to get your job done. Some weeks I can slack a bit, other weeks are well into 60 hours and more. Most weeks are typical 9-5 job, as much as that exists any more :eyeroll:

On call depends on department, right now almost zero on-call, in a different role I've gotten calls and gone in at 4am after leaving at midnight four hours previously. I don't do that job anymore.

So yeah 7-8pm driving to Sac area was just 'this makes sense, plenty of time to get home after work and get ready, maximize weekend time' but that turned into 'fuck traffic, I don't do anything after I get there anyway' and I didn't leave before 9pm anymore.

I have a pi so I could do the same thing, but I just like the idea of having the quality controllers and stuff rather than using the little free time I have setting up my own from scratch.

Yeah, originally I had a pre-order with Walmart and then they cancelled it :| Figured i'd break routine and just go super early to Target today and wait with all the other nerds. Worked out for me at least.

I'm still pissed about the NES classic debacle from them, and the fact that they've really slowed down in getting devs to make quality IP nowadays...

Yeah, I did fortunately. Number 60 of 82 at that store..

I've only had the peach one where it's a mix with a different flavor that's kind of odd. Forget what it's called.

Heh, I know that feeling. I'm on primary/secondary on-call every 4-5 weeks right now. Don't need to go into the office when shit hits the fan, but I do have to VPN in on my laptop, etc. etc. Fortunately after a team split back in June my team has less operational responsibilities, but the stuff we have that can go down can't afford to be down for long anyway because it's customer-facing.. So that's reeeeal pleasant (/s).

Wow. That on call position sounded like it sucked.

That causeway traffic was always bad. I rarely go up to the Sac area now days.
