Question on Audi Style LED tube

Hi,

Anyone used the tube to enhance the headlight ?

I searched on ebay and found quite diverse in price:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x45cm-White...7d8ebc&vxp=mtr

or expensive;

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Audi-Tube-St...937b4e&vxp=mtr

Advertising details looks pretty much the same to me.

Are they bright enough to see during daylight as DRL ?

Thanks in advance.

I like how this looks and in reality depending on how these attach, you could make your own Winjets out of the stock headlights. Speaking of how do these attach? @Gixxersixxerman

I have a Firestorm with Winjets installed. I must say, I absolutely love this.

That's hard to answer, we are currently testing these, this set came with clips that are just 3m tape inside temporary. TRS was having issues with similar strips, we have a different vendor, so they benched tested just fine, TRS never got past the bench testing phase. So we went to actual headlight testing to see how they handle the heat of the desert here in Las Vegas. After testing for awhile and we feel confident we can sale these, we will make them a more permant install

I'll double check, we just ordered strips and these happen to fit perfectly

there is a very lengthy thread on these over on hidplanet.

http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/show...back-LED-Strip

quality is very iffy, and there are multiple mfg's and designs, and each design is slightly different brightness-wise...

Yup, talking to zach they couldn't keep one bench tested for more then a few hours.. We had ours on the bench all day, now trying them in the housings to see how they last.. Luckly it's been "hot" here in Vegas and the test mule keeps the car parked in the sun for testing, over a week with no issues yet... Yet lol.. I. Unsure where TRS got theirs. But talking with them it seems it's a different manufacture

Thanks Soundman98 for fowarding me to research more into this. Very very helpful and exactly what i'm looking for.

When it comes to pictures, we can sometimes be tricked with advertisement pictures . I bought a mirror cover with LED light in it, installed and realized now that the LED they put in there are not bright as i thought it is in their advertised pictures.

Here is my car:

Seem that they used something very similar to those switchback LED strip but i'm not sure if it is really the same count of LEDs and using the brightest LED quality or not.
