Hi,guys. I'm really looking into get a used innovate 210 SC for my 2013 FRS. Is there any different between the old innovate kits and the new 210 sprintex kits? What should I pay attention to purchasing used old innovate kits?

They're essentially the same. at some point the design was updated to add a sight glass, but that's it.

you're going to want to make sure it doesn't use too much oil, although i'm sure someone here can give you a better recommendation on how to do that.

I could understand that reasoning with say a turbo as it is far easier to compress / push a set quantity of through say a TB / opening than pull/suck the same quantity through the same TB / opening .

From what I understand the more energy required to pull that air through the opening the more heat generated so the Grams TB should be a benefit in this (Sprintex) application .
Is it really worth the extra 2hp? Up to you.

Too much oil referring as supercharger oil or engine oil? I will have a professional shop to help me install the kits.

So somebodies already done a the Grams TB on a sprintex 210 and only got an extra 2hp?

Any further info like dyno chart or are they a member here as I seem to remember a post here of someone who tried it on an NA
car but not supercharged .

I am also a bit sceptical that a bigger throttle body for Supercharged cars won't give some kind of decent gains.

I know it did nothing for NA cars, but the superchargers are sensitive to precharger airflow. Harrop have gone for a larger throttle body on their supercharged track car which is putting down 420whp, and I wouldn't be surprised if there is a larger TB for the next Cosworth release.

It seems like a good way of getting more boost without putting more parasitic strain on the engine. But we need proof.....

Does anyone know if the 210 SPS is still on sale? I can't really seem to find it on their website and I looked in a few other places (like moto-east, ft86speedfactory etc.) and didn't see it on sale. Is it something that needs to be special ordered?

I've got my nameless intake pipe for sale (not made any more-best way to increase whine...) and 335 kit fs soon.

PM me if you want it!

No issues with car, but my suv died and it's more important for me to have a truck than car (sadly).

Took my 210 intercooled kit off after 23,000m with the supercharger. Very happy with how everything held up. Those 23,000m I had zero problems whatsoever. The only thing I noticed was the hoses that extend the throttle body heater hoses. They were starting to crack maybe something for you guys to check or keep an eye on

Went for a ride in an SPs equipped car 2 nights ago... it’s awesome... and I’m busy ordering mine now.
So yes, it is special order, but IMO worth a little extra dosh.

Afternoon All!

@continuecrushing placed his perrin intake and aluminum pipe up for sale a bit ago, and although I opted to not move forward as I originally didn't want to risk modifying my tuning, it did itch the bug for a more intense SC experience...

...And eventually I caved for the Moto East 3" short intake! Moto East has a video of it on youtube and it convinced me to pull the plug. I also have a Moto-east tune, so it was destined to be an easy transition.

Here it is:

Very simple install (20 minutes), no need to remove front bumper, etc.

I've just come home from driving for the third time today, and I can say this: This intake puts the biggest smile on my face. It absolutely screams in comparison to the stock box -- and when I mean scream, it could be heard a half mile away without a doubt (at high RPM WOT).

During normal driving it unlocks the low RPM 'whirr' note of rushing airflow, but anything over 3.5K RPM sounds incredible. I've been searching for something to compare it to, but I've come up with nothing, outside of a space-craft (seriously, nothing seems to make the same double-thick pitch on whine... maybe an ambulance?). It definitely enhances the experience, can't say enough!

Thanks @moto-mike !
