Sir this is just the assembly, the thing showed in my previous pic, but if you have that in your car no need to buy it just get the harness for you to use that aux USB thing, you can use this - Axxess by Metra AX-TOYUSB USB Adaptor to Retain the OE USB in Select Toyota/Lexus Vehicles

usually sa pillars, on top of the aircon vents, or in front of the passenger just on top of the compartment

Thanks for the help pcuerpo...the pillars are a good option coz one can easily hide the wires...any ideas on how to hide/run the wires if placed on the top of the compartment or ac vents? Sample pics would be nice.

The problem in installing the gauges in the pillar is that it could interfere with the pillar airbag deployment. I went with the cravenspeed gauge mount and I think it's the cleanest option. It only holds two though. Look up the A.C.E. gauge mount too, it holds three gauges.

Ive also been told that if I'm gonna be getting the Defi Racer's oil temp/pressure that I'd need to have the adaptors for the sensors? Being a newbie I'm kinda at a loss here...guess its the adaptors that'll make it compatible to our 86's. Any of you guys know the specific name of this adaptor?

Yes. For the sensor to be installed, you need to get the OEM Subaru oil galley plug and OEM Subaru oil galley gasket. I ordered mine thru rallysportdirect. Here's the part links: https://www.rallysportdirect.com/Sub...il-Galley-Plug and https://www.rallysportdirect.com/Sub...ey-Plug-Gasket.

Yup I experienced the rattling issue. It's the flex joints. I wrapped the flex joints with header wrap and clamped them with three hose clamps each. No more rattles. No need to remove the header or lift the car. Just remove the airbox

See Tye's post about the Subaru oil gallery plug. You can mount your oil pressure sender there. For the oil temp sender, you can remove the stock oil pressure switch below the oil filter. It's the one with a single wire and spade connector. You can then mount your oil temp sensor there. That's what i did. The stock oil pressure switch is useless, by the time it lights up, it's too late.
