I think topspeed wants a tegris price. In which case I'll let Paul quote it. However, I know our initial cost analysis showed it would be at least twice the price of this one.

@eric6 I had emailed ft86speedfactory through their website, but after reading this thread, my questions and concerns have been addressed. Hopefully I'll place an order with them within the next 2 weeks. I almost want to install the splitter and driveway labs' diffuser separately to feel the difference from them individually and not collectively. Either way, functional aero is always worth it imo (well minus huge wings on the street, at the track/autox, sure but on your way to walmart...not my thing lol).

For anyone interested or worried, I will have updated hardware being sent out to FT86 early next week. The new kit will have 30mm long bolts for the rear most bolts that should help installation.

Splitter held up well at Laguna Seca this past Monday. It was my first time at Laguna Seca, and first time running with HOD. The car felt pretty stable and confidence inspiring, almost too much so, I'll get into this later. With only the front splitter, there was some some slight oversteer with camber at -3F, -2.5/-2.7R, 0 toe all around. I was able to reduce the oversteer with adjusting the damping. The last session of the day, even though the tires were feeling a bit greasy, I was trying to see how much speed I could carry through turns 5 and 6. Turn 6 attacked the berm too hard and hit the red curb and ended up spinning, and cracked the edge of the splitter. Managed to park the car a foot from the tire wall, so I consider myself very lucky. It was still held on with the bolt/washer and I just taped it for the drive home.

Now you need a Driveway Labs diffuser in the back to balance out the car.

It holds on at 130 mph, even with driver corner broken. The front edge of the bumper though is starting to look like it's warping from being pulled down.

Definitely would cure the oversteer.

@eric6 I ordered my ft86sf/Hancha front splitter Wednesday with a @Wonderbar / Driveway Labs Rear diffuser, and a few other parts.

In all honesty, the deflection doesnt bother me as much as what effects it could have on the bumper cover/facia long term. If my logic isn't skewed, the lower the diffuser is to the ground the more effective it can be (look at NASCAR or F1 front wings for example). Who knows... anxiously awaiting these products and no matter what a functional splitter is more effective than a cosmetic one.

Pm me your address so I can send you some updated hardware that a few have been having issues with.

I've stood on my splitter and my bumper didn't deform, I'm not saying it isn't possible but unless you're racing I don't see it deforming from highway speeds. Lower cars will produce more downforce.

Since it seems like a main concern is rigidity we are looking into splitter ties. I can assure you we are not giving up on this project and will take care of the early adopters as best as we know how as we improve on the design. Thanks for all of your support .

You definitely need ride height computations in the data sheet on this thing. Splitters on cars at a street ride height are historically very ineffective, and pretty much aesthetic only. Plenty of info on this on the Lotus forums with the Exige, and some talk in the S2000 arena with the Voltex splitters. Have to be at track/race ride heights to benefit in any meaningful way with splitters.
