Been next to nothing on this car all summer. After the DI seals failing I was graced with my cat (front pipe) burning up causing issues and my Exedy S2.5 clutch began to start slipping. After throwing on serious rubber it quickly became the weak point. I can still drive it but, I've had to stick to the lower power maps and try to keep out of boost in 5th gear. I'm still weighing options. I was sure about going twin disc until I heard the godawful noise of it in person. I still daily the car so I'm taking a bit of time to figure out what clutch of get. I'm also looking at the FX400 and SouthBend S3 Endurance.

Also have temporarly given up on buying a hood. After my first Varis hood being damaged and not wanting to wait another 6 months I ordered the Black-Ops Hood (viper look-a-like) only to have that ordered cancelled as it is no longer in production or being produced. :/ I'm still not inlove with the Tracspec of Velox vents, I likew them on a dark car but, not on lighter colors or WRB.

Welp, guess this mean's it's time to bust out the fiberglass and make my own. Maybe attempt carbon when I get there but will see how the plug turns out and how well my mold does.

I've decided to go with a design similar to the STI's BRZ GT300. I figure they've already done more R&D on the duct placement than I care to and I've liked it from the get go.

Grabbed a hood from a buddy and began measuring/plotting and cutting. The aluminum is like butter! So far everything is pretty tight when on the car but, just barely clears the turbo and intake tube. After figuring out the depths I'll tack some aluminum rod in to hold the vent's at the correct depth and begin designing and shaping the missing pieces. Once that's done I'll break out the clay and begin sculpting some smooth transitions.

Really curious about where you sourced that grill material? I've been looking for something similar for my FRS to get more airflow.
