@The_Understated

This is where I got mine. It came with the harnesses, fogs, bezel button, and plate.

Wondering if I can get some help here.
I have wired in my WinJet set with the supplied switch and harness but I would like to use the switch harness that is already in the car (the grey one with white tape on it behind the trunk button).
This will fit in my switch.
The question I have is about wiring.

Currently the fogs are wired as so:
Red wire from Fog --TO --> Battery + terminal.
then on the other side Ground to Chassis
Red Wire from Fog --TO --> Yellow wire on Harness INSIDE Vehicle

On the inside, from the switch harness I have:
Yellow Wire from switch --TO --> Red wire to fogs through FW
Black Wire from switch --TO--> Ground
Brown Wire from switch --TO--> Purple ACC wire on other harness

Now, this all functions, but I'd rather keep it clean and use the already wired switch harness so I can also see the light on the dash.

I am assuming I'd need to rewire either one of both of the red wires from my fogs.
Where should I put them so that they have power when the lights are on and the switch is activated?

Thanks!

Do you know if that switch comes with the wire harness to connect to the OEM connector (the yellow one in the photo)? I asked a couple of the vendors on eBay selling the buttons and only one responded and didn't know.

I was actually referring to the very small wire connector that goes between the button and the white OEM connection inside the dash panel.

And thanks by the way for posting your progress on recreating the rest of the OEM fog light harness, I'm hoping to tackle this project this summer.

I picked up the switch itself from a local dealer and the bezel for $15 off eBay. Would also be interested in knowing where I can get that small adapter-like cable that goes from the switch to the factory harness so I don't have to mangle anything oem for a diy I'm working on.

Trying to wire up the boomerangs on my spec-d lights on the fog light switch.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/221668295760...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I'm not sure what the below adapter is even for, since it's got the same connector as the oem harness that's taped up under the dash. All I know is I want/need one for my project.

The gap is by design, it's because the mounting bracket moves the fog light housing back. Supposed to prevent melting or something. You don't actually need the bracket, you can always mount the fog light directly to the bumper.

Good Idea I will try that

Didn't feel like finding that pigtail that seems to come with the kits, so I just cut the factory harness. I see the oem fog light switch has a red led in it like the dimmer. Does anyone know it there is a pair thats just for the switch part. I'm trying to use the switch as an on/off for the boomerang in the spec-d lights.

*UPDATE: So multimeter readings look like the two outside wires are switched and I didn't get anything from the inside pair. I'll probably have to take the meter out to the car and get readings.

Updates on this test?

I'm assuming that the white and black/yellow then must be the relay for the fogs.
The Purple should be 12v power to ignition?
Which then means black/white must be ground?

Let me know, I need to use these for my fogs.

Thanks
