We are trying to save you from a mistake. If you can't price out what is needed then I would be worried if you install this yourself. It is not simple. If you plan to have a shop install then they will be able to give the most accurate quote for whichever systems you are looking at out the door.

I appreciate it! I am speaking with a local 86 owner and he was just telling me something similar to this. I think i’m gonna buy everything I need before installing it.

"I want to slap a cheap turbo on" is one of the most frequently asked questions on this forum. If people do not understand everything that is required and why they are required then telling them a bunch of prices are meaningless and actually cause issues.
Spend the time. Do the homework as to what is needed and what it costs. Don't expect to be spoon fed everything.

The question here wasn't even "what do I need?" it is "what will it cost?". There is no demonstration of understanding what work is needed.

If I had a time machine, I would go back to when I was 18 and tell myself this:

Forget the turbo. Save your money. When you have $5,000 plus saved, you WILL want to do something else with it anyway.

That's sounding like a better plan. As you get a parts list together if you need feedback on specific things check the Forced Induction subforum. Specific questions about a part will get much better answers as it shows you have some understanding of what is going on.

Don't listen to these guys. You just need a turbo from a Ford Powerstroke Diesel out of a junkyard and some tubing.

- Get the HKS, Greddy, or AVO turbo.
- Leave out everything else.
- Get it installed or install yourself at the stock boost level.
- Get the best tune in the world. Work with Delicious and CSG
- Start driving on the street first and keep an eye on the car. Get Torque Pro on your phone to see the data.

You will know if heat is a problem. Then, get oil cooler.
You will know when clutch starts to give up. Then, get the clutch upgrade.
You will know power is overwhelming the handling, get better tires and wheels.
You will know if you need better brakes. Then upgrade the pads first, then the rest if necessary.
You will know if you need better suspension. Then upgrade the suspension.
You will know if you want more power, rebuild the engine and do it.
