Yep, there TP used to be like rolls of recycled paper bags and pulp wood, complete with almost splinters.
We lived in Germany, on the economy, and every Christmas we would give our landlord a quart of scotch from the Army class 6 store and a bale of made in America TP from the Army PX. Yes, it is another slow day here in Puyallup - humfrz |

My garage is 20x25, with almost 12 ft ceilings.
I installed six 8-foot long T8 fixtures (four 48" T8 lights per fixture). Done in three rows, two fixtures per row. Its probably the brightest room at the house, but I still use a task light in fender wells. I just did my floor with a flow-through racedeck alternative from garageflooringllc, they're very popular on garagejournal forums. I have a four post lift sitting on the tile flooring without any problems. Floor jacks, tool boxes, carts, etc. roll around no problem and on the rare case I do lift something with the floor jack, I have a small sheet of metal I put down and roll the jack onto to prevent denting. The tile floor makes the cold concrete much more bearable when its -10* outside. |

FYI there is a short two post lift that is movable and works quite well.
Maxjack. Here is one I was using in a 7 foot bay. |

Woah, haven't considered a lift inside garage yet but now I want one . The quote I got was from garageflooringllc too, and it's good to hear you can put weight and equipment on them...

When I was younger I/we all did a lot of work the hard way. Boards, ramps, and even a ditch with boards on each side to drop a trans. Now I look at the job and the cost for someone else to do the work or the time for me to do it the hard way, then factor in the cost of parts, and finally will I be doing something similar in the future.
It all made my buying a lift an easy choice. Then which one? If you want to get under, then two post; suspension, four post. With limited height 9ft or less, a 48in; 12ft clear a normal 6ft lift. With shops in both Fl. and Wi. I now have several. Please remember I have been working on cars and collecting tools for over 55yrs. I still use the same logic every time I consider a new tool. Do it the easy way and be prepared to for the next time. Edit Add, the 48in I have been using is portable, unbolt and move. you can see the wheels on the right stanchion also the hydraulic lines going back to the power unit, also on wheels. You can also use just one for a motorcycle lift. |
