Have tried making a transfer function using the curve to read the maf with arduino so its possible to show In g/s or lb/hr on a lcd directly?
Im not sure how to deal with none linear scaling but I think there is way to do it, or else could probably make a long list of volt to flow values and just compare sensor value to the list.

Test results with MAF and pressure gauge, I used a reducer on the outlet to simulate restriction.
I also made a gauge to display MAP and MAF reading through arduino, the pressure didnt match my gauge so I guess calibration was a little off. Plan was to do multiple tests with different restrictions but got a failed bearing again so couldnt do more test points.
From the results it seemed to hit around 0.3bar and 16.24lb/min / 122.77g/s / 442kg/hr.
(display shows g/s but its in the raw kg/hr values as I forgot to do the conversion in the code)

I also decided to make a complete 3d printable compressor housing + wheel to make it easier to experiment and develop. Spent about a week making this and its not yet tested, but it should work
I did notice the compressor housing is wrong "mirrored" compared to the wheel but I fix that before printing.

Well, actually it's a proof of work test, which seems to work. I'm working right now for a kind of complete solution incl. batteries and control electronics.


Initial idea was to check it on my ex Peugeot 208 1.2, but right now I'm using it as a test setup.

No, I didn't try that. Though it could be a good way to directly get a proper flow value.

Thats pretty cool, looks like its well designed, I guess you have the motor mounted inside the intake so its linline the airflow and gets cooled at the same time.
What kind of fillament do you use? Normal ABS and PLA cant handle the heat, but I did found a new type of PLA which they claim handle 140degrees C before it starts to soften which could be a great value as its also easier to print.

Well ABS is pretty widely used in automotive industry, lots of car parts, even on hot cooling side are made nowadays from plastic.

Its true, my intake manifold is made in plastic on my car and I run 1.5bar boost no problem.
But the typical 3D printable ABS have a glass temperature at around 100-105*C, coolant and oil can easily reach those temps, so underhood temps will be at least is this region if its hot outside and car is idling/standing still. but depends alot on the placement too.

How'd you go with this? Would be good to get a lot of detailed photos and measurements of the current motor and the compressor for everyone's future reference.

I'm considering trying to recreate Rob's 'Drag Pack' which he teased and then never posted about again. DRAG PACK

I.e., my dump batteries are due for replacement, I would rather put the $ into Lithium batteries + ESC + DC charger with the aim of throwing more power at the motor for higher RPMs = more boost.
Anyone in here with know how to use RPM vs TPS signal coming from my Procede and integrate that to an off the shelf ESC unit?
