not sure what to make of that, other than to say, check it regularly and keep an eye on it. As you probably know, the manufacturers will claim a fairly large amount of oil disappearing is still considered "normal".

TL;DR: HOD is an excellent organization to run with. It's expensive but you get what you pay for as the staff is extremely organized, dedicated to safety, and you get instructors provided if you're in a novice group. Oh, and free lunch and water! Highly recommend HOD if you're just starting out.

Oh yes! Thunderhill is much easier to get to since I can stay with family in Sacramento. No need to wake up at 3am to drive. 😨
