Rear Floor Mats

how do you guys feel about the rear floor mats? ...do you like them? do you hate them? are you indifferent to them? did you remove them for weight reduction?

they are not as cool as the front floor mats because they don't have the fr-s emblem but i like to have the peace of mind knowing that they are there

I collect them - when I get enough I will carpet my garage!

Seriously these are the most useless excuse for a dealer add-on ever.

I keep them there just incase I try and fit a dismembered body back there. I find the best way is to cut the legs clean off. The mat helps catch and left over blood that may drip so cleanup is a breeze

i heard if you upgrade to the weathertech floor mats then it makes the clean up even simpler but it's pricey

If you decide on a delete please post a DIY so we don't have to explain how to do it 1,000 times.

Oh come on dude you know perfectly well that with the seat folded down you don't even need to dismember the bodies.

On a more serious note, I replaced mine with the 3DMaxpider mats. They actually cover more of the floor and saved me once already when my dog puked off the side of the back seat.

Since I never drive more than 2 ppl in my car, plus I took my rear seat off..
So, I take them away for easier vacuum.

I rarely have people back there but left them in so it is easier to clean. I would rather take them out and shake off all the cigarette ashes than vacuum them up.

The new thread material has gotten pretty thin. We're discussing rear mats now.

What happened to the days of Visconti tunes starting fires. Torque dips. Crickets. Port-Direct injection. Sound tube. This FI is better than that FI. Break in necessary? Manual vs. Auto. Weak paint. Holes in rear fender. Can I run reg gas? Bunny Rabbit. Stance. I crashed and lived to start a thread. Etc. Etc.

Just playing. Please continue.

I no longer have the car, but I do remember those rear mats were easy to remove and clean. Can't comment on any dismembered bodies.

I have seen a few videos in the back seat of cars but none involved mat removal.
