That's my next step in my suspension journey. I just got my yellows, so I'm going to drive around on those for a while before deciding if I need more or not.

okay got these coilovers for free, and they were pre-set with those springs then.
But if we start buying new springs for the BC racing br coilovers.
What would you recommend for spring rates, back and front.
if we think that the car will be used whit 180tw tires on the track.

@CSG Mike and @Racecomp Engineering et al,

I think I have a camber problem. Both my street and track tires are suffering additional wear around the corner edge of the tire. Almost like the tire is rolling over on itself.

My car is lowered by an inch on RSR Sports-i coilovers and I think that when cornering the camber is changing from negative to positive. The extra wear is occurring on both the front and rear tires, but mostly in the fronts.

Here are some pics of the tire wear from 2 track events ago at SoW,

And here are some pics from last weekend at Big Willow,

My last alignment was set for -2.2 up front and -1.5 in the rear.

I know it's not aggressive enough for the track but my street tires are also exhibiting the same type of wear. I drive enthusiastically on the streets but nowhere near as hard as I do on the track. I will be changing tires soon for both my street and track set of wheels, but I'm concerned that my new tires will suffer the same premature wear in the corners like these did. When at the track I do stiffen up the RSR coilovers, but I don't go too stiff because then the car get's too hoppy and/or twitchy on me.

So my question is, do you think that my lowered car is exhibiting positive camber under compression due to a lower roll center or do I just need go with a more aggressive alignment for both the street and track?

What do you think I should do?
1. If I have a roll center problem then should I purchase a correction kit?
http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_..._number=kca435

2. Should I raise the car up to more closely match stock height?

3. Should I get another alignment and go with -2.8 to -3 up front with -2 to -2.5 in the rear? The coilovers give me about -1.5 of camber when lowered and the crash bolts should give me about -1.75 more. In the rear I have adjustable LCAs that provide up to -2 degrees of camber.

4. Other suggestions?

Right now I really like the way the car feels. I don't really trust the car on high speed corners like turn 8 at Big Willow or Riverside at Buttonwillow, but it definitely feels better than stock. I really do like the RSR coilovers. They feel great on the street and I only track the car like 6 times a year, so I'm not looking to purchase another set of coilovers.

Thanks!

How much are you lowered, and what pressures are you typically running?

Couple questions. Are stock top hats interchangeable left to right? and does the position when reinstalling matter? IOW, does the position of the red dot on the top hats matter?

1. I don't think you have a roll center problem.

2. A 1 inch drop is fine.

3. More camber front and rear is a good idea.

4. What are your spring rates? Also what kind of tires are those? What pressures?

According to the RSR website the spring rates are:
Front: 6.00kg/mm (336 lbs/in.)
Rear: 7.00kg/mm (392 lbs/in.)

The pictured tires are my track day tires, Nitto NT01 235/45/17 on 8" wide wheels
My daily tires, not pictured, are Hankook RS3 225/40/18 (not the v2 RS3) on 7.5" wide wheels

Both tires run at 35 psi cold temp. At the track the tire pressure for the NT01s is 38 psi when hot.

Yeah, the suspension may be too squishy for an r-comp tire

Are the Nittos 38 hot or 38 cold at the track?
