Because no one has time to read all the pages and you have a constant new flow of owners asking the same questions that have been answered hundreds of times.

No, there is no fix for the crickets.

Some people had success with 0 ethanol, but not everyone.

Don't bother with replacing the fuel pump, you're just wasting time.

2 cycle oil, no ash has been reported to remove it completely. Lucas Upper Cylinder is about a 70% success rate.

There, I summed it up for you all.

I hear if you focus on driving your fun to drive car, and quit listening for random noises, the crickets go away.

I find that if I instead focus on the rattling of various interior panels or the distortion and speaker fart of my "premium" sound system that I don't even notice the crickets

I just tune all of that out, put the windows down, and enjoy the car.

To continue adding to this ongoing saga, I solely run (and pay dearly for) ethanol free 93 octane and the crickets are present.

I knew it. Too good to be true. It's like when a CEL goes off on the dash. Yes it COULD be that the gas cap isn't on tight, but that's never it. Too easy.

After this past weekend's event, I don't think there is a consistent condition under which the crickets will emerge. I had a hot engine after autocross, shut it off for 5-10 minutes, turned it back on, and the crickets were gone. After the next run, turned it off, back on, and the crickets were back.

I think its just a matter of a few small differences that change over the course of a day that determine whether or not your crickets will show up.

I'll report in periodically with updates but I am about 1k miles into my new fuel pump with no chirps. I went to the dealer told them about the chirps and they replaced my pump and fuel lines (which they said were loose and showed corrosion some how in under 5k miles!) under the TSB.

I know others have had their pumps replaced and the chirps came back, but maybe there is a new pump design?

I will keep monitoring it.

I got my fuel pump replaced about 1 month ago now. The car was chirping as I brought it in to the dealership for my second scheduled maintenance, the tech noticed and asked me if I wanted to have it replaced. I told him that I'd be happy to have it replaced, but I had heard that the only replacement released so far didn't actually fix the issue in the long run. He told me yes, that was true, but now their dealership had a third model in stock.

They had the part in stock, and replaced it during my maintenance. Very nice service.

1 month later, still no chirps.

For those who think they have a "rev 3" fuel pump, what's the part number? Can you tell if there's any insulation? Afaik, the only way to stop the chirp is sound insulation, which is how other manufacturers have solved this.
