Lol, this is turning into an informative forum. I want to have one of those things where it's like "set and forget" for a while. OrbitalEllipses, as of right now, I'm running a Dual Monitor setup (32" tv, and a 24" monitor). The graphics card that I have right now, GeForce 8600GT is holding up. I also have Intel Core i7 860 (2.8 GHz) and 4 gigs of ram.

I will look at the 760 Areddi. Thanks, that's going to severely dampen the blow to my budget

Yeah, the 8600GT lol.

Storytime:
I work at a rental place. And we also have storage units. Sometimes the people don't want stuff or forget they left it there and never come back to get it. So I saw this PC laying around for 3 days, and it was in the donations pile. I take it because the Intel i7 logo catches my eye. I got home and put in windows xp, and then upgraded to windows 7. This computer is completely stripped down in bloatware and all of that. No laggy antivirus, no skype, nothing that slows down the computer. The PC literally boots up within 10 seconds (faster than most ultrabooks). I started getting into PC when Kanundrum started telling me more about it. Then I started looking at the specs and got up to speed with what everything is, where is it located, the function, yada-yada. Now I'm just constantly thinking about upgrading it because PC gaming triumphs console gaming. The only problem is that finals is 2 weeks from now and I don't want to get caught up in gaming.

Remember, you will most likely need a more powerful power supply.

I found a 750W supply adequate for single card use and that's when cards were WAY less efficient. Always want the dedicated +12V rails though. Current gen cards are about as thirsty as the older cards, but with so much more performance.

Nope, not me. Sounds like I wish it was mine though! Haha. I've installed everything myself on mine. Thankfully I work at a shop though and have the resources and help, otherwise it wouldn't be built half as much as it is now haha
