In somewhat of a pickle here. Unemployment ends for me in 4 weeks. I've been unemployed for about 6 months now. Before anyone goes on bashing about me being lazy, let me shine some light on the situation if you haven't been recently unemployed.

Sadly, in the past 6 months of job hunting, yes I really have been, I have yet to come across anything that pays the same as unemployment, if not more.

With the rate of unemployment that I receive, I'm just surviving. I.e. car is paid every month on time and food.

It's pretty insane how the job market is and it's ridiculous that you can sit around and do nothing but earn more doing that as compared to working your ass off 40 hours a week.

Your going in the wrong field. Stick with Security. What certifications do you have?

That's exactly what's killing me. I have no certs or schooling behind me. Just in the field/professional experience. I've been trying to get back into school but with the work situation, it's impossible.

Thats fine if you are willing to start from the bottom.

www.dice.com
www.indeed.com

start applying for jobs with big companies they are great when it comes to hiring people for Junior Positions starting off with like 60k

Do you have a BS or a MS ?

Dice is where I've been. I've had some good leads on there but I get dismissed as soon as the questions of degrees/certs comes up. I have nothing behind me in that sense. Doesn't hurt being out there though

Well Def start looking for entry level positions no matter how entry level they are you should be able to get something easily if your not applying to 10+ jobs a day you need to work harder! Our sector has lots of good jobs out there even with out qualifications just need to get a nice open chance.

Ichi your ride, she doesn't want to hide in the shadows, she wants to be out and play on that new asphalt.

Dude you should have told one of us around here you were around. You could have been part of a really sweet weekend. Cruising on Saturday and the Wicked Big Meet on Sunday... so much win I tell you, WIN! :happy0180:

But I'm sure this upcoming weekend will be just as good, actually scratch that... better.

I feel ya.

That reminds me.

Quick question. Do you think its important to replace brake pads with oem or just get something cheaper aftermarket brake pads (they were work just as well)?

Hm... this is my view on the thing. cheaper or expensive, I'll buy parts, as long as it's OEM standard or higher... UNLESS, I'm desperate on the cash and car needs a temp fix.

So I can't figure out this strange noise my car made when I was driving the other day.

You know that sound you get when you accidentally run over something and it hits the bottom of your car and kinda bounces? Yea... I had that sound under my hood on the driver side. I'm not sure what it was so ye..

My initial thought was I hit a water bottle or some debris. Now I'm thinking it might be some sort of animal deciding to live in my engine bay; considering I didn't see anything roll from under my car when I checked my rearview while driving.
