Any new car purchase is a "bad" move financially, considering the instant depreciation hit you take. The BRZ is something I want and I have the means to get it, so I ordered one. Simple as that. If I don't like it after the test drive, I'll simply keep the WRX until I find something else. |

In the process of selling my 04 Mazdaspeed MX5 with 69k miles. If I can't get it sold by the time my BRZ arrives, I will bite the bullet and trade it.
Someone buy my Mazdaspeed! |

Probably nothing. My 2000 Integra GS-R is my current DD but it's basically sold pending me replacing a few parts (new axle, new rotors, etc). If it ends up not selling I'll just trade it in instead.

Sold my 03 sonic yellow bugeye WRX last week. She was my baby for the last 8 years. I didn't want her to be my daily driver, but circumstances meant she was for about 5 of the 8 years. had around 8k in mods on her, she sold for full price in 12 hours after I posted her up.
I went out and purchased a 2001 330i with sport package with the cash from the WRX, to be my daily driver- so that way I can keep the BRZ in the garage for sunny days and track days, like I always wanted to do with the WRX. I got 11k for the WRX. Trade in value was 6k. SELL PRIVATE PARTY! I traded in an 08 impreza 2.5i last year and they gave me 12,300 for it, after "stretching" because I was a family member. Private party it would have sold for 16. I'm telling ya, private party is the way to go.

If I had a cool $30k-ish sitting around to buy the BRZ outright, well, a 328GTS would be another consideration. Can't drive it nearly as much as a BRZ, but I think the times you could drive it would be a LOT of fun! Once you warm up the gearbox, of course I have a soft spot for classic sports cars, as costly as they are to maintain, and meager-performing as they may be compared to modern ones.

That's my internet instinct doing work. It's so easy to post anything nowadays without proof. It just so happens that he was telling the truth. I've apologized since. :happy0180:

The reason I going not so well with veloster is that the insurance rate is too high that I even can'afford it. It almost charge me $4000per year,so it's about 20% off value of this car. And i checked with insurance companys, and they shows the rate of V is even higher than a brand new GTI... Of course also higher than the fr-s/BRZ... And I just don't understand why...

I saw vw show the jetta tdi as the car of the year, so I waited for the mk6 golf tdi for max fuel economy and looks, and naturally i opted for the DSG since dual clutch gear boxes Was the thing. A year in i saw my coworker buy a 370Z Nismo and i was pulled into the world of motorsports. Fitst i did Hella flush with BBS VZ then coils, but i noticed i had to driv slower to avoid rubbing, so the next season i bought Enkei RPF01 and raised up the car to improve performance. At the end i figured it would be best to go back To a japanese brand due to lower maintance cost and thats why i preoreded the BRZ.

I'm moving June 15th to KC. I have known that since last year so I preordered a Scion FR-S from Olathe Scion in Dec. Found out pricing and switched to Subaru. For a long time I wondered which would get there first, me or the car. I'm pretty sure now I'll easily get there first. I'm hoping for a July/ Aug delivery.
