Need help deciding

I need help deciding on a lowering kit. I have it narrowed down to ST, Tein, and HKS. Does anyone have any preference over one or the other? HKS is the most expensive, but if I can get the same results with ST, Tein, I'm all for it.

Planning on: Gramlight 57DR 17.9 with perrin spacers 30mm front and 25mm back (or is it the other way around?)

These are the ones I am considering.
ST: model # 90888
Tein Street flex: model # GSQ54-51SS1
HKS Hipermax IV GT: model # 80230-AT001

Goals: I want pretty flush, maybe an 1" drop, but not have to worry about rubbing, and I want the full tire showing, not inside the wheel well.

Thanks for the help,
Alq

I'm not an suspension expert but you should list the models from each brand you're planning to get so it can narrow down the choices so other knowledgeable people can help you out

Bilstein B8's are a fixed perch strut, not a lowering kit. You are probably thinking of Bilstein B14 coilovers.

You should also post your goals for the car and any other suspension mods you may have. Also what type of tire and what size you'll be running.

Is there a reason you want spacers with 17x9.0? Are you going rocket bunny or over fenders?

Based on the intro post, you may want to continue reading and hold off on any sort of mods.

I don't want to be a pro at knowing all the lingo, I just want my ride to look good. Is that not possible?

You can just go 17x9.0 +38 5x100 57DR without spacers. If you wanted to run stock wheels and spacers than the Perrin spacers will work.

But if you are getting wheels there is no need for spacers unless you are going Rockey Bunny kit.

Not knowing the "lingo" and not having a basic grasp of what you want or need are not the same thing.
I think a little more research on your part is a very good recommendation.

Not knowing the lingo is fine. The community can certainly help you out, but you may want to educate yourself a little bit more before you pull any sort of trigger and end up being one unhappy camper.

Agreed. And I've already learned a lot! I have a picture in my mind, but don't know the "lingo" to translate that here, trial and error I guess..

Yes. 17x9 = 17" diameter by 9" wide.
