Yep, updated the firmware and then the MCU immediately before this video. The whole stereo feels fresh and even more responsive... very nice!

Will check this out. I am assuming this uses ad hoc mode so you can't tether while using app?
This is quite the feature. If they can get this working I would hope one day we could get a 2 gb partition for apps. I only have a few apps and can't even update them because I'm out of space.

Supposedly you can share internet/tether while using this app... i havent had a chance to spend enough time with the app yet to see though. Will said to do the following if anyone is curious

Quote:
To share the internet from your phone, please click the "connect phone wifi hotspot" in the "QR code", and then use your phone to scan the QR code on the right of the screen. Have a try.

But first, you disconnect the headunit's other wifi connection.

Sorry about the blurry mobile pics

some VERY EARLY phones have it enabled. I've got a buddy who bought his on launch day, same plan as me, and tethering works fine on his.
ES File Explorer will give any android phone the ability to tether rooted or unrooted.

Woah, OK that is definitely different from mine, and it does look pretty cool, can you take a screenshot of what version software you're running, I'll do the same and post shortly.

Huh, I didn't know ES did that, I don't pay for tethering on sprint with my EVO 4G LTE, but I'm rooted and use the WiFi Tether Router set to Method 3 and it works great, even gives my HU LTE tether speed when available. I actually uninstalled ES on the HU and went to FX file explorer with root access (first time using it and it's actually a really nice interface), reason being I kept getting an ES pop up every time the HU started up, asking if I wanted to open ES to view the USB drive, even clicking cancel and the 'use this choice every time' check box it still happened.

Interesting, where are those/how do you load them? Also, how do you unhide apps like you were saying earlier?

Didn't look to see how to apply them.

To show and house apps go into system settings and then factory settings . Code is 0000. Should be an option there

*lol your phone keeps auto-correcting "hide" to "house" *

Holy shit, there's more settings in that factory settings tab? I thought if I put in a code there it would just reset the whole unit to factory, well, now I'm going to see what's in there

BTW, here's what I'm running, is this up to date:

Lol yeah I was typing a better response while waiting for my performance review but my boss came in and screwed it all up.
I came up with a theory that when updating it randomly applies one of the five themes. Looks like w are all getting different looks

Can we then ask those who have updated to post pics of their themes?
It should be very interesting to see how many themes are out there
