New for 2016?

I have been looking and test driving the BRZ & FRS and think I will get one.

Each company released a special car for 2015.
Subaru, BRZ Blue
Scion, FR-S RS 1.0

Are there any special models slated for release in 2016?

What's the TS version?

The Hyper Blue seems like nothing too special.

The ONE was the better choice.
Lowered, better body kit, nicer exhaust, and of course the color.

Nothing concrete yet though http://www.autoblog.com/2015/04/03/2...rz-ts-w-video/

I'm sure scion will come up with their own release later this year as well.

Speculation alert:

If it appears the Ts version will likely be similar to the RS 1 with a body kit and some convenience features but not much more. Doubt it will appear since two special editions in one model year would be unusual.

If there is a special FRS at all this year it should be announced soon. Again I wouldn't expect much more then something like a Series 10 or Monogram though since the Rs 1 was just last year.

As far as the much fabled turbo, rwd convertible, targa, etc goes. I wouldn't hold your breath.

Just get a used series.blue or RS1.0 and call it a day. Other than the backup camera, nothing will change.

Don't know about the series blue but depending where people are or how far they will travel there is a surprising number of still new rs1s out there.

Well now, JRCmx, my take is that if you keep waiting for the next revision, you will never get the car .......

If this is the car for you, I'd suggest you just go to a dealer, make a transmission selection, pick out a pretty one and drive it home.....

I'm looking at a big move across the country in the next 12.
Once I'm settled with work and the new house I'm getting a sports car. Oh yea, a new Honda CRF450R too.

So the next best thing maybe what I'm in for.

We'll see. Maybe some forced induction by then.
Maybe Subaru will turbocharge theirs and Toyota/Scion will supercharge theirs.

I'm down for anything.
