Quick visit to Toyota's public display in Tokyo

In Tokyo Bay there's a popular Toyota exhibit called the MegaWeb- lots of 86 related stuff on display. There is a ton of 86 related "collector" items in the new TRD catalog as well.

It looks like "86 culture" is doing OK in the homeland.

Also a couple of snapshots of some other interesting items.

I do love that lip! It's just so damn expensive for what it is though. I'd rather spend that money on other mods.

Not to perpetuate a cliche but that does look good, in person.

I've been to Mega Web many, MANY times. I should caution the casual visitor that this place is a big Toyota showroom and 95% of it is dedicated to street cars and new hybrid tech.

Two things worth mentioning if one visited recently:

1) The 2017-spec WRC Yaris was on display around Auto Salon time. There's a complete history of Toyota WRC on display next to Grease Garage on the first floor of Venus Fort, past the expensive pet shop.
2) All the TRD parts for the kouki 86 add up to around $22k MSRP.

My pics from January 2017:

Also, this car was at Mega Web just two weeks ago when I visited:

Nice pics! I've been to megaweb 2 years ago and ended up spending close to half the day there. My GF was not entertained....

That lip looks like it could double as a snow plow in the winter months.
