There was a FRS and BMW Z something, both automatic, also in CS. The FRS driver used to drive a FWD car before so he was at a disadvantage to my son who learned to drive and competed previously in the Miata.

The Miata is supercharged so it's quite a bit faster but much harder to drive fast than the BRZ.

Sorry, no video. He worked a corner in my heat and I was the starter when he drove.
Nice runs. I was there watching.. haha

I'm assuming you guys ran on stock tires? Awesome job either way taking first. Me and my co-driver took third and fourth respectively in CS here on Oahu. About two seconds off the leader in a Mazdaspeed Miata on R-comps. Pretty pleased with the results, considering this is only my second event in a RWD car.

Yes, used the stock tires. My son says the BMW was faster. We have a new timer but no computer software so it was just an expensive stopwatch and could not post the times for each driver. They should have the official times posted soon on the BISCCA web site.

Were you there for the first heat to see me slipping and sliding thru all the puddles in the Miata? I had too much tire pressure but forgot my gauge so I couldn't adjust it between runs. We switched cars for the fun runs so my son got to drive both cars in the dry.

That's an amazing coincidence. I hope her tutoring helped.

My son will be back to college by the next autoX and the Miata should be sold by then so it'll just be me and my BRZ!

The names Matt, I spend most of my time in my office in Manoa, some time in Aiea and Waipio area. I have an asphalt FRS, currently stock until Mo at Swift sends me the headerback.
