Changing outside temp from "F" to "C"

I tried to search for this, only one thread that was actually asking the question, but it died, so I want to try my luck again.

I would check the owner's manual, but currently is at home, about 400miles from me....

I saw someone's frs actually showed "C" on this forum, and his profile says he is from Florida or something...(somewhere in USA for sure)...

Soooooo wondering if anyone would have any idea at all.

If I recall correctly, just press the DISP button on the left side of the instrument cluster until the temperature is displayed. Then press and hold the DISP button to toggle between F and C.

I did Google it, nothing came up, and I'm talking about the temperature thing, I think you confused that with the gear indicator thing, which I do know how to do.

Holding down the DISP button did not work....

I tried before the car started, in acc mode, after the car started, does not work in any of those cases.

Anyone else got any insights on this?

Holding down the DISP is supposed to work. Pg 261 in Manual
..

Pg. 195 just shows where DISP is located and that pressing the button (not holding) will cycle through Temp, MPG, Avg MPG, and REV Limit

you're saying that holding down the button should switch my temp displaying in Fahrenheit to Celsius?

If so can someone try it on their car, because it is definitely not working on mine..

Just last night I had to retrieve something from the BRZ, and I recalled your issue with switching the thermometer settings, so I tried holding the DISP button down and ... got nothing. Huh?

Yet, I could swear I recently switched the temp display. But, like you, I tried every combination I could think of including with the engine running. No joy.

We have temp displays in all three of our cars, and maybe I had recently done it in one of the other cars. At this point, though, I'm not betting that the display can be changed in our Mazdaspeed3 or S2000 either. Maybe I did it in a dream? Damn strange dream, then.

I don't know, Cyau, I'm old and easily confused.

I'm sorry, Cyau, my recollection is clearly faulty.

Also interesting note, if you look at your display area at an angle with some glare, you could see that the "C" exist, it sits right next to the F.

Have not tried it yet. Manual writing might be misleading and there's no way to change (unless with techstream or something dealer related).
