Drivers mat wearing out
Have you chaps in Oz got a "wear pad" on the drivers mat?
In NZ it is just carpet and we have noticed that where the drivers accelerator/brake heel is planted is wearing really fast - scuffed up after around 2,500km quite badly. Toyota is replacing under warranty but we have been told they have not heard of this before. If your mats are the same as ours I can't believe no-one has reported this issue. And, yes, I did but found nothing EDIT: A mate here in NZ has got a DIY drivers heel pad that cost only $15 for all the materials - and it is here for you all - http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25376 . +1 BRZ ones are wearing out quickly as well. Might bring it up with as well, when I drop the car in to get the rear light tail light replaced (condensation).

When you say they are wearing out, is it like the heel/ball of your foot doing it? i was cleaning my car and i noticed the area where my heel rests when accelerating, the mat was all compressed and mushed (if this makes any sense)

yeah thats what happens. some cars have carbon heel plates in the mat to rest your heel on.

so the fact the mats get 'mushed' is enough for a warranty claim and is not considered wear and tear?
