Not to rain on the party, but it seems counter intuitive to drop in an STI motor into the FR-S/BRZ, when alternatively going the FI route making 300-400+hp is possible. Seems like it's just a swap for the sake of doing the swap.

I can see the allure of the guys dropping a 351, then doing some type of monstrous FI or Nitrous setup as a ridiculous drag car... Is it the same motivation? Use the mature STI platform for a 500-1000hp engine?

What would the potential benefits of an engine swap be in this case? Sure you have "less" R&D to do (retrofit engine vs making power) compared to building up the current 2.0, but then the wiring harness work and other retrofitting work seems to be a pita for the sake of being a pita.

How long would u need the car? What are the details on the arrangement? I have to buy the motor but i get labor free?
