$10 worth of gas is about 3 gallons. How far do you expect the gauge to move? It is not a precision instrument.

OK dude you have some strange, strange ideas about gas, the operation of fueling and economics.

There is nothing wrong with your car.
You were not ripped off by the station.
Not sure if trolling or actually that confused.

I am outta this now since nothing rational is happening.

It didn’t move its not complicated lol its supposed to go to 2/3-3/4 a tank but it didnt move and stayed at 1/4 still after paying $10 like always and either i didnt do what i always do or the gas station is out of order lol

So...
It is a 14 gallon tank. If at EXACTLY a 1/4 (not actually a little below) and 3 gallons are added then in a perfect world the gauge would go up to just under half a tank.
If the gauge used to go up to 2/3 or /3/4 then either the tank was already well above 1/4, was misread or one hell of a deal on gas!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the owner's manual. Page 53 (I think) talks about patting the roof of the car when filling with fuel. This motion/action removes wind, the burps clearing the tubes for more fuel..

Lol i’m already assuming the gauge isn’t being read right which is pretty scary but Wow what were the odds of that happening

Dude thank you so much. My MPG has gone up by 30 and my car can take its nap time after burping! Which of course equals more HP
