Replacement tailight gasket?

Hey guys anyone know where I can buy replacements for Valenti gaskets? Mine are giving me private pools inside housing of tails. They are old... reused like 3x’s.

Apologies for wrong thread spot. Internet slow and was only one to load for me.

I installed my Valentis ~3 1/2 years ago, so far no leaks. I did not use any sealant/adhesive on the gaskets. As per the installation instructions I torqued the 8mm nuts to 40 in lbs.

Gasket Ninja as mentioned. Always had the problem on two Valenti. Used gasket ninja with the sealant and no links/condensation.

Same here, I used the Ninja gaskets and years later they're still holding up.

Which gaskets are you talking about exactly?

There's the foam gasket between the tail light and the car body, and then there's the gasket that holds the taillight lens to the body.

I bought a set of "Valenti" tail lights on ebay that had nasty foam gaskets, as well as one of the lenses being removed from the tail light.

I had to use a Dremel tool to chew all of the old black RTV sealant out of the groove of the body/housing.

I also needed new foam gaskets, but $35 for a set of replacements was offensive, to put it lightly.

I went to my local crafts store and got 9"x12" sheets of black foam for $0.99 each. Then I used my dremel to cut the outline of the gaskets. Link here: https://www.michaels.com/creatology-...22%20x%2012%22
Took me like 15 minutes per gasket and $2 in material.

Very unfortunately, this is the only picture I took. Wow. RIP. But you can imagine.

Most of the leak is because of the foam gasket between the car and light. I only had a chance to mess with the old valenti but they didn't exactly use the typical RTV sealant, so baking in the oven doesn't really work and I didn't want to dremel the thing out.

Gasket Ninja threads explain the type of gasket you need, his are a bit thicker than OEM and the problem is if you don't get the correct foam they'll flatten out over time.

$25 is for the gasket while the extra $10 is for the sealant, which you can grab from the autoparts store. My first set of valenti got into a rear end and my second set had the LED tail light issue as well as the autobody place tightening them too much so they started to develop stress cracks. Didn't want to deal with that all over again so I just bought my gaskets, no more problems.

Common sense to most but worth mentioning again. The main reasons for water leaking into the Valentis is not properly seating the gasket so it protrudes at least 1/4" above the sealing surface; and over or under tightening the 8mm nuts. The nuts should be tightened sequentially to 40 in lbs. If installed properly no sealant is needed.

I used a Harbor Freight 1/4" drive, 20-200 in lbs, torque wrench with a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter and a deep well 8mm socket.

https://www.harborfreight.com/14-in-...nch-63881.html With a 20% off coupon it's $15.99. https://go.harborfreight.com/coupons...arbor-freight/
